Former Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse was targeted by racist fans

A FORMER Sunderland AFC star has reportedly been forced out of a country by racists.

Striker Djibril Cisse has left Panathinaikos for Italian club Lazio for £5.3million.

Now the wife of the French international says he had to suffer offensive chanting, and banana inflatables being thrown on to the pitch.

“It limited how much I could watch from our home or at the stands with the children,” said Jude Cisse, 35, who runs a spa in Cheshire.

She added: “Putting aside all the racism, I found it distressing when fans accessed the pitch.

“Can you imagine thousands of fans running at your partner?”
