FILM-MAKERS starting out on their cinematic careers are being invited to let their cameras roll.
A national competition is welcoming amateur entries as it celebrates producers, directors and scriptwriters and raises awareness of intellectual rights, film and the creative industries.
Easington MP Grahame Morris will nominate his top film from his area and entrants could have their film screened to industry executives at the House of Commons.
Grahame Morris said: “I am excited to see the films that the people of East Durham can come up with and hope to see as many submissions from the Easington constituency as possible.
“It will allow East Durham to show its passion for the creative industries and will support our ongoing efforts to encourage the private sector investment for a proposed new film studio in our area and a Centre of Creative Excellence to be built on the East Durham Heritage Coast south of Seaham.”
