Fixed price pizzeria to open in North East

A pizza place that charges a set amount, regardless of the number of toppings, opens its doors in the North East this week.

Diners at MOD Pizza pay a fixed price of £7.47 per pizza, with people being able to choose a combination of more than 30 toppings.

The chain will open its first branch in the area at intu Metrocentre in Gateshead tomorrow, November 10, building on the success of its Leeds and Brighton branches.

Customers can create their own artisan-style pizza and salads or they can chose from the menu of MOD classics.

Pizzas are then hand-fired in a 300®c oven in minutes. The price always remains the same - £7.47 -regardless of the number of toppings.

The pizza chain, which will also be offering £10 pitchers of Estrella beer, is the latest to open in the Qube, a £17million development at the shopping centre which has also welcomed a Five Guys, Thaikhun, Barburrito and more.

To mark the opening of the new Metrocentre location, MOD has partnered with charity Children North East who will receive 100% of proceeds from pizza sales from the opening day.

The Gateshead MOD Pizza will open at noon tomorrow. The first 50 people through the door will receive a free pizza and will be entered into a prize draw to win pizza for a year.
