Fishing boat rescued by Sunderland RNLI lifeboat

Have your say

TWO Hendon men had to be rescued at sea after their boat’s engine failed.

Sunderland RNLI were called from a mobile phone belonging to one of the men on board, after their 32ft fishing coble got into difficulty.

Just after 8pm yesterday a volunteer lifeboat crew got to the men about 300 metres off Ryhope Beach.

A tow line was secured so they could be taken back to moorings at Fish Quay by the inshore lifeboat.
