Fire crews called to Sunderland station to help people trapped in lift

Firefighters from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service have been called to Sunderland station after receiving reports that people were stuck in a lift there.

Crews from the service have been seen in the city centre after being called to the people’s aid.

Two fire engines have been pictured at the scene, outside the station on Union Street, on Tuesday, October 27 at around 5pm.
