Fire alam prompts evacuation of Sunderland Civic Centre
Sunderland Civic Centre was evacuated for a short time today after a fire alarm.
A spokeswoman said: "There was a brief evacuation of the civic centre over lunchtime following the activation of a fire alarm,.
"Staff and visitors returned to the builkding after a thorough investigation of the site confimed it was safe."
