NEW links have been made to enable families in the area to get advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
A weekly drop-in session will be held in Durham City every Thursday, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, at Laurel Avenue Children’s Centre, The Woodlands, Sherburn Road, where a CAB worker will be available.
A session will be held at Ushaw Moor Children’s Centre on the third Thursday every month, from 11am to noon.
The CAB offers free, independent and confidential advice on a range of issues.
At the drop-in sessions, people can to speak to a CAB advisor on issues including benefits, debt, housing and employment.
Telephone consultations with a CAB worker are available to families visiting children’s centres in Brandon and Sherburn Hill.
