Fifth man charged over shooting incident in Sunderland street

A fifth man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident which shocked a Sunderland neighbourhood.

Marc Bogie, 29, of Leechmere Road, Sunderland, has been charged with conspiring to possess a firearm.

He will appear before magistrates in South Tyneside today, along with four co-accused, who face the same charge.

They are Ellis Dobbing, 23, of Ashdale Court, Roker, Jevan Doyle, 22, of Fordenbridge Road, Ford Estate, John Bailey, 32, of Fordfield Road, Ford Estate, all Sunderland, and

Steven Palmer, 32, of Neville Road, South Denton, Newcastle.

The charges follow an incident in Edgmond Court, Hollycarrside, on February 29, where the window of a house was shot at.
