Fans line up at Stadium of Light for tonight's Beyonce gig
Excitement is building for Beyonce fans who are already queuing up outside the Stadium of Light.
It may be hours until the doors open, but fans of the world famous singer are making sure they'll be in prime position when she kicks off the European leg of her Formation World Tour tonight.
Queen Bey, who picked up four gongs at the BET awards in LA last night, stormed the charts with her latest album Lemonade, and her die-hard fans can't wait to see her in action on Wearside.
Friends Rebecca Bennison, Alice Thompson, Matilda Leigh-Jones and Ellie Mann have travelled from Middlesbrough. They've been up since 5am.
"Our fist train was cancelled so we had to wait half an hour for the next one", said Ellie.
"It's been a bit of a nightmare but we're all very, very excited."
Anna Covell and Holly Ingledew have also come from Middlesbrough.
Anna said: "I'm really looking forward to it. It's going to be great."
Pals Lisa Irving, 19, and Ellen Lewis, 18, both from Newcastle, have seen Beyonce before in London.
"It was amazing, I was just crying the whole time", said Lisa.
"I was hysterical."
The show kicks off at 7pm.
