Fabland ready to bring a cool play area to Sunderland International Airshow

Families will be able to have an extra 'Fab' time when they visit Sunderland's seafront for this weekend's airshow celebrations.

Exhibitors are setting out their stalls in Recreation Park, Cliffe Park and along the Military Village to Bede’s Cross with events, displays and activities for all ages.

New to Recreation Park this year will be key exhibit ‘Fabland’, a huge, free interactive display for families with children aged between six and 12-years-old, visiting Sunderland as part of a national tour.

Children will be able to experience exploding confetti sprinkles geysers, huge 5ft fab lolly mazes, ball pit moats, three supersized slides and much more fab fun.

Another key exhibitor at Recreation Park will be major Sunderland car dealership Town Centre Automobiles, displaying its latest Citroen range.

Activity across the Military Village from Cliffe Park to Bede’s Cross includes displays from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy with a range of helicopters, weapons and military equipment and vehicles on view such as Multi-Launch Rocket systems, light guns, and mounted vehicles.

Under expert instruction visitors can also test their fitness on an assault course and climbing walls, discover the Navy’s diving tank and find out more about military life and careers.
