Fabio Borini poses with Sunderland Olympics runner after training ground catch-up

Sunderland fan Dixon is heading to the Olympics in Rio later this year after qualifying for the Great Britain team, following her performance in last month's London Marathon.

Dixon has a history with Sunderland fan Borini after copying the Italian's famous goal celebration when she crossed the Great North Run finishing line last year.

And the pair met up at the Academy of Light this week, with Borini tweeting a picture of the duo in tandem with hand in mouth and arm outstretched after Dixon had watched the Sunderland squad in training.
