Entertainers welcome spectators to the 2018 Houghton Feast.

Hundreds of spectators converged upon Houghton for the start of the annual Houghton Feast.

Singing, dancing and music accompanied the formal switch on of the event’s lights by the Mayor of Sunderland, Coun Lynda Scanlan, and her consort, Sunderland football legend Michael Horswill.
