A FAIRYTALE of a day out is being lined up for families at a garden attraction during the bank holiday.
Crook Hall and Gardens, by the banks of the River Wear in Durham city centre, is holding a host of events as part of a celebration of children’s stories.
Those who complete a treasure trail will be given a gift from Red Riding Hood, with Snow White to also pay a visit.
Maggie Bell, the owner of Crook Hall and Gardens, said: “Crook Hall is a magical place and in particular for those believers of fairytales.
“We love a happy ever after ending and hope all of the families who visit our Fairytale Week with children enjoy the stories, games and maybe even rediscover their favourite childhood character.”
Children are invited to come along dressed at their favourite fairytale character.
The event will run from Sunday, May 26, to Wednesday, May 29, from 11am to 5pm daily.
Entry is £6.50 for adults, £6 for concession, £5 for children and £19 for a family.
