No fewer than six players picked up a 2 after poor displays, while Robbin Ruiter was handed a measly 1 after his shocker in the 2-2 draw with Millwall.

But in amongst the bad, there have been some positives too.

Aiden McGeady picked up a 9 after a virtuoso performance in the 3-1 win at Norwich, while Lynden Gooch was handed the same rating after a fine performance on the right flank at Leeds.

And it’s Gooch who tops the charts this season, with his average rating of 6.12 the best of the bunch at the Stadium of Light this season.

He’s closely followed by top scorer Lewis Grabban who averaged 5.95 and Joel Asoro, who completes the top three with 5.91.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Chelsea loanee Jake Clarke-Salter finds himself propping up the rest with his average rating of 4.22.

Others to have faired poorly include Lee Camp (4.40), Billy Jones (4.55) and Lee Cattermole (5.12).
