RESIDENTS at a Washington nursing home were all shook up when rock ’n’ roll royalty paid them a visit.

Staff at St George’s nursing home in Harraton helped to bring 77-year-old Rachel Bright face-to-face with her idol Elvis.

Long-time fan Rachel’s dreams of visiting Graceland came true when staff helped to complete her “bucket list” by bringing Memphis to her.

The nursing home held an all-American day, the highlight being a visit from The King himself – an impersonator provided by Scott Jordan Entertainment Ltd, who performed all his greatest hits for residents, and even took Rachel for a spin on the dancefloor.

Kelly Watt, manager of St George’s, said: “One of the things Rachel wrote was that she was a big fan of Elvis Presley and had always wanted to visit Graceland.

“While we unfortunately couldn’t take Rachel to America, we thought it would be nice to bring America to her, after all our home is in Washington.”
