Youngsters enjoy a woolly encounter at farm

Have your say

Children at a Sunderland school are enjoying some animal magic.

Northern Saints CE Primary School youngsters have been taking part in a number of events involving different creatures.

The youngest members of the school, the reception class, visited Hall Hill Farm in Lanchester.

Little ones got the chance to hand feed some of the animals including bottle feeding the lambs.

The children in Year 1 have been working on their own community project, researching, planning and designing a school farm and are already the proud owners of chicks.

The school in Rotherham Road, Red House, also has its own Reptile Room complete with snakes, frogs, a bearded dragon, a gecko and a chameleon.
