Youngsters get a taste of the world of work at a Wearside school.
Kepier Academy in Houghton organised an apprenticeship fair for both learners and their parents.
Dave Brennan, community development manager at the Dairy Lane school, said: “Ensuring the best chances of progression and prospects for our learners once they leave Kepier is very important to us.
“We had a range of companies, services and colleges in attendance giving details of the types of apprenticeships they can offer our young people post secondary school.”
He said the event was a huge success and the young people were given an insight into lots of jobs, including the armed forces, business, engineering, hairdressing and catering.
