Children at a city primary school have been flying high in the big outdoors of Scotland.
As part of Northern Saints CE Primary School’s outward bound programme, 12 Year 5 youngsters visited the Loch Eil Centre in Scotland for a week of activities and fun.
The adventurous pupils took part in Jog and Dip, which consisted of a run then jump in the loch, canoeing, a two-day overnight expedition, high rope challenges and a range of team building challenges and exercises.
Emma Jarvis, deputy headteacher at the Red House school, said all the youngsters who took part had a really good time.
She said: “The aim of the week was to build stamina, resilience and determination.
“The children also worked on developing their communication and team building skills.
“The children were all successful at stretching their comfort zones.
