Make-up artist to James Bond star shares skills with Sunderland students

A CELEBRITY make-up artist shared her skills with students.

Durham-born Amanda Bell, 36, who has worked with stars such as Jessica Biel and James Bond actress Naomi Harris, gave Sunderland College beauty students a master class in make-up application and technique.

The former head make-up artist for the BAFTA Awards also provided students with an insight into how to make a successful career out of make-up artistry.

Tracey Mowbray, beauty therapy lecturer at Sunderland College, said: “Having Amanda visit was fantastic for the students – she’s really inspired them.’’

Amanda has returned to the North East after 10 years working in London and plans to set up her own business.

The beautician, who started her career working with Lancôme, said: “Meeting the students at Sunderland College was great, I really enjoyed it.’’

“I have big plans for my business and am really excited about the potential here in the North East.”
