NEW College Durham has welcomed 32 Danish students to their campus as part of an eight week cultural and study programme.

The students, from Niels Brock Business College in Copenhagen, Denmark, are all aged between 16 and 19-years-old and are following a vocational A-Level programme in their homeland. Alongside studying a range of modules with business and IT students at New College Durham, the Danish students, who are staying with host families, will take part in cultural activities including visits to Newcastle, Beamish Museum, Hartlepool Marina, Cragside, York and Whitby.

John Widdowson, principal and chief executive of New College Durham, welcomed the Danish students to the college and they will also be meeting the Mayor of Durham, Councillor Pauline Charlton, at the Town Hall. Students study in a combination of Danish and English languages in Copenhagen.
