EasyJet announces new Newcastle flights to Berlin and Las Palmas

Budget airline easyJet today announced two new regular routes from Newcastle Airport to Berlin in Germany and Las Palmas in Spain.

The two new routes will start on November 1, and combined are expected to carry more than 36,000 passengers in the first year of operation.

The airline will be operating the only direct scheduled flights from Newcastle to Berlin Schoenefeld, opening up the destination to North-East travellers.

Passengers will be able to fly from just £30.49 up to three times a week, all year round on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, making it ideal for short city breaks.

The route starts just in time to experience the famous German Christmas markets and experience the traditional winter celebrations.

Flights from Newcastle International to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria will take-off every Tuesday over the winter season.

They are ideal for those wanting to soak up some winter sun and escape to warmer climes over Christmas and New Year. Fares start at £32.49.
