On Sunday at 4pm in at St Mary’s Church there will be a Prayer and Praise service with the Gospel Choir and blessing of the Christmas Angels.

Michael Welsh, from Seed Pods, received a telephone call from the Civic Pride Team of Durham County Council that they have been awarded £500 for the Donnini Garden. The aim is to widen the two long borders and to have a large 60ft wide x 4ft flower bed at the opposite end to the mural. After the preparation of the borders any money left will be used for plants and bushes. In the application to the Civic Pride Team, he indicated that the people of Easington were getting back a lot of the pride that was lost. Now everyone has the opportunity to be proud of their environment and where they live and support those that are trying to develop the Donnini site. Easington’s Dennis Donnini was one of the youngest people to win the VC.
