The Salvation Army celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Salvation Army last month and the branch in Easington was 101 years old.
To commemorate the events the Easington Community Garden Volunteers cleared away the brambles and other weeds from inside their compound. Its good members were able to do it and make the outside a play area for all of the children. They held “Our Big Birthday Tea” morning and there were lots of the toys and children’s furniture out in the yard in the sun. It was a good sight to see them enjoying themselves. Here’s wishing the Salvation Army a successful further 150 years and thanks for helping the Easington Community for all those years.
