SPRING has sprung – or at least that’s what these lambs think.
The first baby sheep of 2015 have arrived at Houghall Farm, part East Durham College’s Houghall Campus.
Staff at the college have used breeding techniques to expand the lambing season at the college in order to give all students the opportunity to experience this part of the farming process.
By using these techniques the period of lambing started in around mid January and will continue all the way through until April.
Members of the public will also have the chance to see the new lambs at the Houghall Campus in early spring.
Houghall Farm will be hosting its Lambing Sunday event again this year on Sunday 22nd March between 11am – 3pm.
