Durham Under-14s break County Cup duck with victory at Mainsforth

Durham Under-14s secured their first win in the County Cup Group One, overcoming Lincolnshire by two wickets at Mainsforth.

Pranav Pothula (54) and Joe Dickinson (41) starred in an 86-run partnership as Lincolnshire made 202-8 in 50 overs.

Lochlann Young Hall took 2-29, Joseph Dixon 2-38 and Jake Dickinson 2-27, with Luke Husband and Ed Brown also striking.

Robbie Dawson then proved the key batsman as Durham edged over the line, with more than 15 overs to spare, hitting 12 fours and a six in a 42-ball 65.

Sam Metcalfe added 31, Abhinav Ramisetty 38, with six fours, Tom Bolam 16 and Jake Dickinson 15.
