Lee Pearce stole the show with a well-taken double as the Wearsiders outgunned league colleagues Bishop Auckland Reserves 4-0 in one of only two matches to beat the overnight frost.

Man of the match Liam Wooton and Andrew Tatters also struck for Hall Farm, who immediately turned their attention to tomorrow’s Durham County Trophy quarter-final against Wearside League side Coxhoe Athletic at Leyburn Grove in Houghton (1.30pm kick-off).

West Auckland Tunns came good to beat visitors Wheatley 5-3 for their third league win in their first season in the competition, taking them up to fourth place.

Man of the match Andrew Campion bagged an excellent double for West Auckland, with Andrew Taylor, Paul Jordan and Chris Stewart also getting in on the act.

Wheatley, who remain two points behind leaders Hall Farm Glasshus and have now played the same number of games, enjoyed a hat-trick from star man Lee Westgarth.
