Hylton Sports Club's improving form paid off with a hard-earned city derby draw against Hall Farm Glasshus in the only league match last weekend.

Andrew Tatters, Martin Hope and Liam Wooton hit Glasshus’s goals, with Reece McEwan their man of the match.

In the League Challenge Cup, Farringdon Detached saw off Jarrow Reserves 5-2 to make it two wins on the trot.

Champions Wheatley Hill WMC won 1-0 at Seaton United, despite having Shaun Jackson sent off, with Nathan Stoker on target.

David Jackson shone for Hill, with Matty Davidson best for United.

West Auckland Tunns knocked Crook and District League side Bishop Auckland Hogans out of the Auckland Charity Cup.

The teams were well-matched in a 2-2 draw, though Tunns would have looked to have wrapped up the victory when they led 2-0 at half-time.

Hogans, though, struck twice in the final five minutes to take the tie to penalties, with Tunns squeezing through 2-1.
