Drug dealer payback

Have your say

A DRUG dealer has been ordered to pay back more than £900 of ill-gotten gains.

Mark Norman Redman, 30, of Lodore Court, Doxford Park, was given a 12-month suspended prison sentence and 200 hours of unpaid work in November after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug.

Now, after an investigation into his finances, he was ordered at Newcastle Crown Court to pay back £945 within two months.

Police Neighbourhood Inspector Cheryl Warcup said the case should “act as a warning to anyone involved in drug dealing”.
