Northumbria Police have reported a crash on A194 southbound at Lindisfarne Roundabout in South Tyneside has closed the road.

Drivers are being warned that there are diversions in place.

Police have not been able to provide any further information on the incident, but it is thought that three cars were involved in a crash about 2pm on Sunday.

The extent of injuries, if any, is not known,
