Driver's lucky escape as sports car flips on A19
A sports car has flipped over on a busy North East road.
Police are currently on scene at the A19, south of Testo’s roundabout heading towards Sunderland, where a car has flipped over.
It happened at around 10.20am today and police say the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, has escaped without any injuries.
The ambulance service is on scene as a precaution and one lane remains closed as police deal with the accident.
The road is still open but delays are expected.
