Drink, drugs, and stolen scents '“ petty criminals dealt with in Sunderland
David Webster, 22, of Tatham Street, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Polo Red aftershave worth £89 from Debenhams on December 29, and possession of cannabis on the same date. He was given a 12-month community order with a three-month tagged curfew from 4pm until midnight and 20 days of specified activity, and was told to pay a victim surcharge of £60.
Danielle McKenzie, 23, of Premier Road, Plains Farm, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Holmeside, Sunderland city centre, on January 1. He was fined £40 and was told to pay victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Hide AdDarren White, 40, of Hylton Lane, Town End Farm, pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident on November 7 in Hylton Lane, where damage was caused to another vehicle. He also pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, without having third-party insurance and without a valid MoT certificate. He was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 40 hours of unpaid work, 10 days’ rehabilitation activity requirement and was told to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. He was banned from driving for a year.
Alan Kerr, 42, of Pine Street, Stanley, County Durham, pleaded guilty to making off without making payment of £88.53 worth of diesel from Snippersgate Garage, in Easington Lane, on June 4. He was fined £120 and was told to pay compensation of £88.53, victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.
Stuart Kitson, 34, of Murton Street, Sunderland, admitted damaging a window of the William Jameson public house, in Fawcett Street, on November 18. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and was told to pay compensation of £600 and a victim surcharge of £15.
Darin Cummings, 44, of High Street, Easington Lane, admitted stealing food and alcohol to the value of £37 from Tesco on December 30. He was told to pay compensation of £25.69.
