The page is hoping to raise cash for the youngster, who is believed to be named Kyle and from Ryhope himself.

He is currently being treated in the RVI in Newcastle and is described as being in a critical condition.

The page reads: “15 year old Kyle was shot in the head whilst a passenger on a bike in ryhope.

“The whole of Ryhope are totally behind you xxxx.”

So far more than £30 has been pledged towards a £1,000 target.
