A Sunderland business has been drawing attention from film fans after it won a Back to the Future Day competition to have a special car on its site.
October 21, 2015, has been named Back to the Future Day in honour of the 1980s sci-fi movie trilogy, in which a scientist and a teenage travel back and forth in time.
The pair, Doc Brown and Marty McFly, use a DeLorean car to go back to 1955 in the first film and then forward to our current present day in the second picture.
Radio station Sun FM ran a competition for listeners to have the DeLorean car turn up at their workplace to celebrate the milestone.
And Roker Avenue’s Falcon Computers were the winners after being picked at random.
Presenter Mark Black, from the station, said: “We turned up with Sunny the Seagull and Chris from Ashbrook Wedding Cars, home of the DeLorean, and they loved it.
“We had the car at the radio station a few weeks ago and our staff loved it, and we thought it would be great to create that buzz for some of our listeners on Back to the future Day.
“We’ve had great fun on the radio with this and then to take the car out was amazing getting such a reaction as we drove through Sunderland.”
