Delays on Metro system due to 'failed train'

There are delays on the Metro system this afternoon due to a failed train.

Trains running between Gateshead and South Shields stations are delayed for 20 minutes due to the problem.

Metro tweeted: "Delays of up to 20 mins to trains running between Gateshead Stadium and South Shields due to a failed train."
