Dedication is amazing

I was proud to host the Young Epilepsy Champions Awards recently and celebrate the achievements of those living with epilepsy, their families, carers, teachers and support networks.

The awards recognise those who are fighting discrimination and facing the daily challenges that living with the condition can bring.

Young people with epilepsy deserve the best possible opportunities and support through life. These awards highlight the importance of creating a better understanding of the condition and, in turn, bring focus on the great work that is going on all across the UK.

The evening was a huge success and highlighted these individuals who are doing incredible things within the epilepsy community, they truly are champions in every sense of the word.

As vice-president of Young Epilepsy I am continually amazed by the dedication of those working to support young people with this misunderstood condition.
