Dame N'Doye: I want to make a quick impact for Sunderland

New Sunderland signing Dame N'Doye hopes he can quickly find his feet with the Black Cats, as he did with Hull last season.

N'Doye's four-month loan switch from Trabzonspor has been finalised, albeit the Senegal international will not be eligible for this weekend's trip to Spurs, as he still needs to formalise his work permit.

It is the second successive January that N'Doye has moved to the Premier League after he joined Hull in a £3million deal 12 months ago.

The 30-year-old netted five times in 15 appearances for the relegated Tigers in the second half of last season, with Sam Allardyce hoping the frontman can make a similar impact for third bottom Sunderland.

N'Doye said: "I always try my best to adapt to the circumstances.

"We're here to do our jobs, it's not something new.

"We're here to play, do our best and make people happy.

"It's exciting, but we have to work hard to be ready.

"There's good players in the Premier League and you have to be ready."

Allardyce had spoken with friend and Hull boss Steve Bruce about N'Doye, who has endured a miserable time in Turkey since leaving the KC Stadium in a £2.2m summer move.

Ex-Sunderland manager Bruce helped to persuade Allardyce that N'Doye was a short-term answer to the Black Cats' search for fresh fire-power in the relegation battle.

"I talked to Sam Allardyce and he wants to build a good team, to stay in the Premier League," added N'Doye on the club website.

"As long as he needs me and as long as I can reach my best form, I'll be ready.

"It's always great to play for big teams and we have to make our people happy and proud.

"We get paid for that, to give our best on the pitch."
