THREE men have been arrested after a teenager suffered facial injuries.
Police were called to a disturbance in St Gabriel’s Avenue, near Sunderland Royal Hospital, where they found the injured 17-year-old.
He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital before transferred to the RVI in Newcastle where he is being assessed by doctors.
An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Two men aged 22 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
All three have been bailed pending further inquiries.
