A WOMAN was arrested after hurling abuse at her brother’s ex-girlfriend.

Julie Graham, of Washington, told the woman she wanted to fight her after turning up at her house at about 10pm on Sunday.

Graham, of Morton Close, Columbia, was arrested and admitted breaching the peace at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court yesterday. Paul Anderson, prosecuting, told the court there had been prior difficulties between the two women, but they had been in the same pub without any problems that night.

However, when the victim was at home getting ready for bed, she heard Graham shouting outside.

The concerned woman then called police, and the 47-year-old was arrested.

Tony Southwick, defending, said the history between the pair was not all one-sided.

District judge Helen Cousins bound Graham over in the sum of £100 for 12 months.

Graham was also ordered to pay a previous bind-over sum of £50.
