Volunteers help police

Have your say

A CALL for volunteers to help police step up their fight against crime is being made.

Durham police are on the hunt for volunteers to help with the Service Update Bureau, a venture being launched to help the force keep in contact with victims of crime and antisocial behaviour.

They will provide updates about the progress of investigations and provide victims with the chance to offer feedback or comment on police action.

All volunteers will go through an interview and vetting process before receiving full relevant training.
