Two quizzed over Sunderland stabbing

TWO people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Sunderland.

Police were called to a lane at the rear of Westwood Street in Pallion, by paramedics shortly before 9pm on Friday, August 16, and found a 20-year-old man with wounds to his back and shoulder.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where his condition is described as “stable.”

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful wounding and is in police custody.

A 15-year-old boy has been also arrested on suspicion of wounding and bailed until next month.
