Violence broke out on Sunday, April 14, in Newcastle city centre, following the Newcastle versus Sunderland Premier League fixture, won by the visitors.

Dale Young, 21, of City Road, Newcastle, and Nathan Murphy, 18, Saltwell Place, Gateshead, have been charged with violent disorder.

It brings the number of people charged so far to 26.

All those charged are due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court during the week commencing Monday, September 9.
