Thieves steal £6,000 worth of jewellery and electronic items in Sunderland daylight burglary

Detectives investigating a daylight burglary in Sunderland have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to trace.

Shortly after 3.15pm on Wednesday, February 26, Northumbria Police received a report of a burglary at an address on the city’s Shipley Avenue.

It was reported that offenders had gained access to the home and made off with £6,000 worth of jewellery and electronic items.

An investigation has been ongoing since the incident and officers have now obtained a CCTV picture of a man they would like to speak to.

Officers say he was in the area at the time of the burglary and could have information that can assist officers with their inquiries.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact the force via the Tell Us Something page of the Northumbria Police website quoting log 637 260220. Alternatively, email [email protected].
