A SHOP thief has been given three months to prove she can stay out of trouble.
Kerry Barker, 29, pleaded guilty at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court to stealing hair dye, priced at £6, from Home Bargains in Holmeside, and bedding, priced at £24, from a branch of Poundstretcher.
Both of the offences took place on October 29. Magistrates deferred passing sentence for three months on Barker, of Caroline Street, Houghton, on condition she doesn’t commit any further offences and cooperates with her probation officer.
Prosecutors offered no evidence on a charge Barker breached bail.
