Teenager’s jaw broken in Sunderland assault

A teenager’s jaw was broken after he was attacked by two people on a Sunderland street.

The 16-year-old boy was assaulted by two males who approached him on Pendle Green, Barnes, at 6.40pm on Tuesday.

He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a broken jaw.

The first offender is described as a male youth, aged between 16 and 17 years old, with curly blonde hair and 5 foot 5 inches tall. He was wearing a grey top with grey bottoms and dark shoes and was riding a black mountain bike.

The second is described as being a male youth aged between 16 and 17 years old, with short blonde hair, stocky build and had two front teeth missing. He was wearing a grey tracksuit.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact them on 101, extension 69191 quoting log number 1023 of 21/07/15 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
