Two teenage girls are due in court charged with kidnap today, in connection with the alleged abduction of a toddler from a North East store.
The pair, aged 13 and 14, each face one charge of kidnap and two of shoplifting.
They have been remanded in custody and will appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates Court today.
The charges relate to an incident on Wednesday afternoon, when police were informed a three-year-old girl had gone missing from the Primark store in Newcastle's Northumberland Street.
The child was found just over an hour later in Gosforth by a Police Community Support Officer.
