SUNDERLAND fans who missed out on a ticket to this weekend’s derby clash can enjoy the game at the Stadium of Light.
The big match will be screened live at the home of the Black Cats where spectators can enjoy the full 90 minutes with a beer and bacon butty.
All eyes will be on new manager Paolo Di Canio who will take his seat at St James’ Park on Sunday for his first Tyne/Wear derby.
Anticipating a lot of interest in the game, bosses at the Stadium of Light are opening their doors and offering special ticket packages for the game.
While police preparing to escort crowds of Wearsiders to and from Newcastle have been issuing advice about travel arrangements.
Turnstiles for away fans will open at 10am on the day. The travelling supporters are being encouraged to use the free coaches provided by Sunderland AFC, which will leave the Stadium of Light at 9.30am prompt.
Supporters just need to show their match ticket on the day to get on the coach, which will drop them back at the stadium following the match.
Direct Metro services will also be running between Sunderland station and Central Station in Newcastle. They will leave at 9.58am and 10.06am. While Northern train service leaves Sunderland Station at 10.13am.
