Sunderland police seize alcohol and issue dispersal orders in operation targeting Saturday night nuisance youths
Police have dealt with a number of incidents of antisocial behaviour in Houghton, Sunderland this weekend.
Police issued a number of dispersal orders and seized a large amount of alcohol from youths in Houghton town centre on Saturday, January 18.
Some of those involved are believed to have travelled to the area from Washington, Durham and Gateshead. Officers say all of the individuals have been dealt with appropriately.
Sunderland Police commented: “This evening officers have attended numerous incidents of ASB in the Houghton area. A number of dispersal orders and gryphons have been issued.”
Operation Gryphon was launched in 2015.
