Sunderland Museum burglars make off with charity box

Police are appealing for information after the Winter Garden museum was burgled in Sunderland.

Between 9.30pm Saturday, August 17, and 6:.0am Sunday, August 18, thieves smashed one of the windows and got inside the museum in Burdon Street.

They stole a charity box containing cash before making off.

Enquiries into the burglary are ongoing and anyone with any information into the break-in is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
