Sunderland men deny role in cocaine plot

THREE Sunderland men have denied their part in a plot to supply large quantities of cocaine.

Paul Lawton, 51, of Dellifield Drive, Robert Stevens, 57, of Hylton Road and Kirk Maddison, 30, of Gill Terrace, all pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine between January 1 and March 20 last year, at Teesside Crown Court.

Maddison also denied possession of diazepam, a class C drug, with intent to supply and denied possession of class B drug Dihydrocodeine both on May 7 last year.

Stevens pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply on May 7 last year.
