SERIAL love rat Keith McDonald has been jailed again for contacting one of his ex-girlfriends who he is banned from seeing.

The 28-year-old – who is said to have 11 children with 10 different women – was ordered to stay away from Clare Bryant in August, after being convicted of attacking her and accidently hitting their three-year-old child with a fridge door.

As well as the restraining order, McDonald, from Sunderland, was also given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.

His latest jail term comes despite being cleared of assaulting one of his ex’s friends.

He was cleared after a three-hour trial yesterday.

It was claimed the 28-year-old from Sunderland attacked her after she stepped in to break up an argument between McDonald and Miss Bryant – who he has two children with – in the early hours of October 27.

He clashed with his ex in a Houghton Street at about 2.30am, but magistrates could not find proof he attacked the woman.

In his defence, McDonald said: “I would never hit her, because I don’t know her and I have got nothing against her and, for another reason, she has kids.

“They don’t want to see their mam with a black face.”

McDonald appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court – due to a mix-up with courtrooms at Sunderland – yesterday after pleading not guilty to assault.

He accepted breaching the order, which triggered his suspended sentence.

Prosecutor Vivian Harper told the court he bumped into the two women on his way to be picked up by a taxi.

Part of the 20-week prison sentence was imposed. McDonald is expected to be released from prison by the end of March.

During August’s case, Sunderland Magistrates heard he got into an argument with his former lover as she did not want him to come into the house.

However, the disagreement turned violent and he grabbed her hair, punching her and kneeing her in the head.

Once inside, the fight continued and McDonald, who once appeared on the Jeremy Kyle Show, threw open a fridge door which struck their three-year-old.
